Amber's assistant: 'She is boss from hell'

The lawsuit between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, who is suing her for defamation, has continued. The 'Aquaman' star has been portrayed as a boss from hell, after the testimony of her former personal assistant at the defamation trial of the actress in Virginia.

Kate James worked for the actress as a personal assistant between 2012 and 2015. James said she has never witnessed an argument or physical violence between them, nor has she noticed any traces of domestic violence. But she said that Heard was terrible to her as the boss, sources reported.

According to the assistant, Heard shouted at her after she rejected the idea of an annual salary that was half less than the amount paid for the job. 'She got up from her chair and entered my face, she was a few centimeters from my face. She spat on me as she spoke and asked me how I dared to ask for such a salary,' said the former assistant.

She described an incident in which the actress once yelled at her for leaving magazines somewhere in the house instead of storing them in the garage. She couldn't remember the exact words, she just said that Amber Heard was shouting and screaming and showing great anger. James also said that Heard yelled at her regularly over the phone and sent her a series of insulting text messages, often in the early hours of the morning.

Kate James had only words of praise for Johnny Depp. According to her, he always behaved like a real southern gentleman, and she noted that at first, he seemed to be a quiet and calm man. She pointed out that she had been in contact with him for years because of work and that she had never heard him be rude to anyone or shout at him.

She also said that Depp became interested in her son, who was 4 years old when she started working with Amber. James says Depp gave her son guitar lessons and brought him gifts from vacations. When it was Kate James' turn to answer questions from the attorney of Amber Heard, they tried to portray her as an outraged former employee.

Heard fired James suddenly, without notice, and the assistant admitted it was a financial shock to her. She lost her job and had to repay mortgage installments.
