Are you a Karl Lagerfeld fan? Here is an opportunity to get stuff from his property

Two years ago, in February 2019, Karl Lagerfeld died, and now about 1,000 items from his estate will be offered at auction.

- The collection is as diverse and surprising as the fashion designer - they revealed at the auction house Sotheby's.

It includes personal items, such as the bowls of the Choupette cat that has been with him for the last eight years of his life, writes The Guardian .

His three Rolls Royces and more than 200 pairs of his famous leather fingerless gloves will also be sold at auction in late 2021 and early 2022.

Sotheby's has recently moved its German headquarters to Cologne and plans to hold auctions there in the future.

Gloves - in addition to a white wig and black sunglasses - were a trademark of Karl Lagerfeld. With them, he protected his hands from the sunlight.

"I feel naked without them," Lagerfeld said of the 2014 gloves.

One of the most important art objects to be sold will be a portrait of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.

Lagerfeld was an “insatiable collector” who was interested in a wide range of styles, such as Italian furniture, 18th-century French arts and crafts, and Art Deco.

In addition, since the early 20th century, he has collected artwork with objects from Germany from the 1920s, especially the furniture of architect and designer Bruno Paul and German advertising posters.
