Britney Spears' Sister said: 'Since I was 10, I've been paying for everything myself and I don't owe anyone an explanation.'
Due to the silence, many fans started calling her names and even accusing her of profiting from $ 60 million of Britney's wealth.
The younger sister of music star Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears has finally broken the silence after the singer asked in court last week to end her “violent” conservatorship.
The emotional statement of 30-year-old Jamie on Instagram stories, followed after numerous fans of her nine-year-older sister started calling her names and even accusing her of profiting from Britney’s $60 million fortune.
In the video, Jamie gave her full support to her sister, emphasizing that Britney wants only happiness, and that she has always supported her and will continue to support her in the future, and that she is very proud of her. She also added that she completely distanced herself from any role in the business part of Britney's life and that she "consciously decided" to participate in the singer's life exclusively as a sister, as well as to work diligently on her own career.
"I've been paying my creepy bills since I was ten. It's not that I owe the public anything because my sister knows I love and support her ... I'm not my family. I'm my own person. And I'm speaking on my own behalf," Jamie explained.
It was announced last year that Jamie was selected as a patron of the Britney SJB Foundation, which was founded by the singer in 2004 to protect the assets of her two sons, 15-year-old Sean Preston and 14-year-old Jayden James.
“I may not have provided the support the public would like, with a hashtag on social platforms, but I assure you that I supported my sister long before the hashtags and will support her much longer after she moves away,” she added.
The emotional video began in a low voice saying, "The only reason I haven't spoken before is that I felt I had no reason to do it before my sister was able to speak on her behalf and until she felt she had to do it in public. And it was the right decision. Now that she has spoken clearly and said everything she needed to say, I feel I can follow her and say what I feel and have to say. I think it is completely clear that from the day I was born that I only love, adore and support my sister. After all, that's my big sister, even before all this shit. "
Britney's fans attacked her last week, hinting that the reason for her silence was that she was a participant in the singer's conservatorship, run by her father for the past 13 years.
She added that she doesn't care if Britney wants to "escape to the rainforest and have a million babies in the middle of nowhere or want to go back and rule the world like she has done so many times before because I have nothing to lose or gain in either case." She also stressed how extremely proud she is that Britney has used her voice.
“I am very proud of her for asking for a new counselor as I suggested to her many years ago, not on social platforms but in a private conversation between the two sisters,” Jamie concluded.
