Cameron Diaz described her first encounter with her husband: 'He is my hidden gem'
The Hollywood sweetheart decided to dedicate herself to her private life a few years ago because, as she says, she has given more than half of her life to the public. She and husband Benji Madden in December 2019 became parents for the first time. The actress is rarely seen in public, and in one of the last interviews she revealed some intimate details from her life
During her guest appearance on the podcast 'Anna Faris is Unqualified', 49-year-old Cameron Diaz, among other things, spoke about various aspects of her relationship and pointed out that she saw many differences between her husband Benji Madden and his twin brother, Joel.
During the conversation, the ‘retired’ actress recounted how she first met her current husband through his relatives. "I met mine through my now sister-in-law and brother-in-law, I met them first and then they didn't set us up but we were in the same room because of them, and then we found each other" Diaz said. She remembered thinking, '"How come I haven't seen him before?" which her business partner Katherine Power found ‘funny because she saw his twin brother’.
"They're not the same, they're so different. Although they are twins, they are very different," says Cameron. She described her first encounter with her current husband and recalled how surprised she was by his attractiveness.
She claimed that she eventually became obsessed with Madden because she realized that he possessed different qualities. "When I saw who he was I thought ‘Oh, you’re special, you’re a hidden gem in my life."
Before falling in love with the musician from the band 'Good Charlotte', the beauty was with famous guys. Among them were Jared Leto, Matt Dillon, Justin Timberlake, Alex Rodriguez, and Adam Levine. Recall, Diaz and Benji began seeing each other in May 2014, and in 2015 they got married in an intimate ceremony at their home in Beverly Hills.
