It is, as the name implies, an intelligent feeder designed to distribute the precise amount of cat food.
Both the power plan and the schedules are completely configurable using the app, which we previously downloaded to manage the source, and this unifies and simplifies the management of both devices.
The Catit PIXI Smart Feeder returns to make our life a little easier, especially if we are away from home for an extended period of time. The target of the meows claiming food will now be this cat-shaped feeder, not us. We're not going to kid ourselves, we're relieved.
We have a capacity of 1.2kg, which will suffice to put off filling the tank for a few weeks (a time that will vary depending on what your cat eats). The airtight ring that shuts the tank keeps the feed fresh and crisp for longer, and it also contains a dehumidifying pad on the lid to avoid mold (changed every 30 days).
The Catit Pixi Smart Feeder tank may be filled with standard feed croquettes (diameter 7 to 9 mm) and has a silent motor with a food jam prevention system. However, if there is an obstacle, the Catit PIXI program will tell us.
The removable eating plate is constructed of dishwasher-safe stainless steel. We can use the support as a side dish while it is being washed. Furthermore, the dish is ergonomically designed to keep the cat's whiskers from scraping against the edges.
The base features two status LED lights, one white for WIFI and one red for when the food level is low. In addition to this red led, the app will send us a notification when the tank reaches 10% of its capacity, allowing us to refill it.
In addition to assisting us with our cat's food anxiety, the Catit Pixi Smart Feeder will allow us to distribute its food in as many feedings as possible. The eating plan can be divided into up to 12 servings each day, with the amount of each serving regulated in one or more parts (each approximately 5 grams).
Thus, understanding how much food your cat should consume every day and how many pieces you want to give it will allow you to devise the optimal feeding plan for it. Whether you are at home or not.
This plan can be activated and deactivated whenever you wish. If, for example, you are at home on weekends and feed your cat wet food (which will be a party for him), you can deactivate the feeding plan on those days and leave it solely on the days you are gone.
We may overlook the fact that there are other feeding plans available, for example, if you want to give him dry food one day in the morning (at the same time as normally) but adjust or cancel the automatic feedings in the afternoon to give him moist food and create a mixed plan. It is solely a software issue that may be addressed in future releases.
We will receive a notification every time the Catit Pixi Smart Feeder distributes a meal appropriately. It is especially beneficial if you are away from home because if you are at home, you will notice the kitten's tiny sprint in quest of his ration before he hits it.
A very essential point to note is that, if you are concerned that the feeder will stop working if the power goes out, it contains backup batteries on the back that will last around 58 hours in the event of a power outage.
