“I know that I look different to others but I'm just starting to look like myself. It is indescribable because simply I am me now. And thank God for that. The greatest joy is to feel alive, to simply exist, without that constant feeling of running away from my body, and that was an endless feeling of anxiety and nervousness and the desire to drive out” - said the actor and identified with people who think of suicide, have anxiety, and panic attacks. Still, Paige has learned a lot from the transition period and now says: “I can't underestimate the greatest joy, and that is really seeing myself.”
In his confession, Elliot also recalled the premiere of the movie "Juno", when he was ordered to wear a dress, even though he really wanted to wear a suit. “I wish I could go back and experience it again, but this time like the real me” - said the actor and admitted that at that time he was fighting serious battles with depression, food, and discomfort.
In the end, the actor concluded that he could not imagine himself as a "woman who is getting old", and added that, although he received harsh criticism, negative comments, and death threats, he received great support for which he finally "knows" who he is.
