Entertain your children during a trip!

We all know that children can often be annoying during the long drive, have different demands, constantly ask when we will arrive, and can generally influence the level of our concentration. We bring 10 tips on how to make it easier for our children to travel because it will make it easier for us.

Britain's IAM Roadsmart agency has issued helpful pre-holiday advice aimed at safer and more comfortable rides for passengers and children. According to their research, children are the biggest cause of distracted driving, in 29 percent of cases. In order for the little ones to be calm and quiet on a long journey, they need comfort, but also occupation.

1. Dress your children in comfortable clothes, that way they will be happier. If they don't like wearing shoes, take them off. If you drive at night and the kids want to be in their pajamas, grant them that wish.

2. If it is winter and the children are in long jackets or coats, take them off before placing them in the child's seat, because this type of clothing can prevent the proper operation of the seat belt.

3. Set the temperature in the car to suit your children, not just you. If you have children in the back seat who don't feel comfortable, you won't be comfortable either.

4. Bring food and drinks, but pay attention to which, primarily due to possible driving nausea.

5. Consider the effect that children use, such as a child's plastic cup that can be taken off in the cabin in case of sudden braking.

6. Pay attention to the toys you will bring, they should be interesting for the little ones, but not something that can hurt them.

7. Plan activities for younger children. There are a variety of interesting games you can play that you can "shorten your time" on long journeys - from wordplay, through personality guessing, to numerous other fun games that encourage children to think and talk. Children's video games are certainly the most common solution because it is easiest for parents to "cope" with, but it is not advisable for children to be interacting with those in this way for too long.

8. Always talk to your children about the length of travel and the remaining journey. Tell them how long the journey will take, and also what places you'll pass on the road because this way the children won't ask every five minutes when you'll arrive.

9. If you have older children traveling with slightly younger children, they can entertain them. This may not be interesting for older children, but it can be a simple way to earn an extra allowance.

10. Plan your longer journeys well and leave ready. You should always have diapers, wet wipes, and disinfectants. IAM Roadsmart recommends that families should not spend more than two hours in the car without a break.

So now that you have read all the tips, we hope that your journey will pass peacefully and without much hindrances.
