Eric Clapton is funding an anti-vaccine band, their songs about the vaccine are quite explicit

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, who has expressed opposition on coronavirus vaccines, has decided to fund an anti-vaccine rock band that advocates “freedom of choice in medicine,” Rolling Stone magazine writes.

The guitarist donated 1,300 US dollars, and lent the tour van to the British band "Jam for Freedom", whose lyrics read "you can shove your poisonous vaccine in your ass". Clapton also donated a certain amount to the group so they could buy their own van in the meantime.

Clapton’s donation came through the band’s GoFundMe website last spring. GoFundMe is one of the most popular online platforms for public funding.

Jam for Freedom founder Campbel McLaughlin initially thought Clapton’s donation was a joke but told Rolling Stone magazine that he realized the matter was serious when he received a message from Clapton himself.

It was something like,‘ Hey, Eric, you’re doing a great job, ’McLaughlin told the magazine.

The duo eventually heard over a phone call and Clapton offered him his touring van and an unknown amount of money so the group could buy new wheels.

Clapton recently sparked controversy when he said he would not perform in places that require covid confirmation.

Clapton received two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, but said he suffered "catastrophic consequences" due to side effects, Rolling Stone writes .
