Musician Harry Styles recently revealed that he was leading negotiations over the role of the cult Elvis Presley in Bahr Luhrmann’s latest biographical film. Namely, the Australian director turned down the young singer, and now he has revealed why. The reason was not that the producer was not a fan of the British superstar, but quite the opposite.
Speaking on the show ‘Fitzy & Wippa’, Luhrmann pointed out that Styles is a ‘really talented’ actor.
'I'd work on a project with him ... However, the real problem with Harry is that he's Harry Styles. He is already an icon,' he said. Luhrmann also explained that he does not hold traditional auditions when choosing actors for roles in his films.' He’s such a great person. I have nothing else to say about Harry Styles other than great things,' he adds.
