Is Lamborghini preparing an electric Urus
The Urus is one of the most visually appealing SUVs on the market and is currently Lamborghini's best-selling model. It is powered by a powerful gasoline engine, although this may not be the case indefinitely.
The Lamborghini Urus is a hybrid of a luxury sports supercar and today's most popular type of vehicle, the SUV. As a result, it immediately became a best-seller, selling over 10,000 copies in the first two years, and became the best-selling model of this Italian maker.
The Urus has a strong V8 twin-turbo petrol engine with a displacement of 4 liters and 650 hp, in addition to its unusual style and great elegance. However, in the near future, kilowatts generated by batteries and electric motors could replace the latter data.
Mitja Borkert, the company's design director, recently revealed in an interview with the Drive portal that Urus will be electrified. "Urus will transition to electricity sooner or later… to be honest, global regulation and social acceptance - trends are already moving in that direction." "I'm not suggesting that Urus' replacement will undoubtedly be electric, but electrification makes more sense for this type of car," he remarked.
According to his statements, the Urus will most likely not get an electric version in the current edition, but a plan to launch an electric SUV with sporting features and high class is most likely being planned at the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
Regarding the rest of the package, Lamborghini is dedicated to using internal combustion engines for as long as legal. "Today, people are taught that the V10 engine elicits feelings," Borkert remarked, "but I don't think young people will be thrilled with that in 40 years."
