The wife of actor Will Smith, actress, activist, and host Jade Pinkett Smith, in her podcast "Red Table Talk", spoke about the difficulties she has been facing for a long time. Namely, it is about anxiety attacks, and she realized that she had a problem at all only when she saw it all in the example of her daughter Willow.
“She bit her nails, but I never thought it was anxiety” - Jade's mother started the conversation, while her daughter Willow explained in detail why her mother did not notice that she was struggling with anxiety for a long time.
“She suppressed her problem for years, it was difficult for her. Growing up, she didn't realize I was struggling with anxiety. She watched her friends die, she went through a lot, so my problems didn't seem big to her” - said 21-year-old Willow, who had serious anxiety attacks.
“There were days when I screamed, cried, and lay on the floor” - the young musician is honest.
By the way, Kim Basinger was a guest in Jade's last podcast, who also admitted that she has a mental problem, that is, that she fights agoraphobia. It is a type of anxiety disorder due to which people avoid public places, but also places and situations that cause them to panic.
“I had to learn to drive again, for years I did not want to drive through tunnels in Malibu. It all made me nervous, and I had to work hard to figure out what to do” - she said.
“I didn't leave the house, I didn't go to dinner. It's really awful when a person who lived like me doesn't know what's going on. Everything went out in me” - Kim concluded.
