Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming crime thriller "Mea Culpa". This movie is directed and written by Tyler Perry and is expected on the streaming platform at the end of February this year.

Netflix revealed the full official trailer for Tyler Perry's next film titled "Mea Culpa", about a defense attorney's steamy affair. This movie is set for streaming on Netflix in February, and Perry even has an arrangement to release most of recent films - including "A Jazzman's Blues" before this one.
The main roles in the film are played by Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes. The film reveals the story between a lawyer and her client accused of murdering a girl. The lawyer quickly realizes that things are not as they seem.
The film's official synopsis reveals: "When criminal defense attorney Mea Harper (Rowland) takes on the murder case of artist Zair Malloy (Rhodes), the truth is not as simple as it seems. As she tries to determine the innocence or guilt of her suspicious but seductive client, it is revealed that everyone is guilty of something. Tyler Perry's film explores what happens when passions flare and relationships become strained... and dangerous."
Along with Rowland and Rhodes, the film also stars Nick Sagar, Sean Sagar, RonRealco Lee, and Shannon Thornon."Mea Culpa" will mark Perry’s fifth Netflix feature following "Six Triple Eight", "A Fall From Grace", "A Madea Homecoming", "A Jazzman’s Blues" and Adam McKay’s end-of-the-world comedy "Don’t Look Up", which had him as part of the ensemble. "Six Triple Eight" is the true story about the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to be stationed overseas during World War II, starring Kerry Washington. The movie "Mea Culpa" is set to premiere on Netflix on February 23 this year.
