Kylie Minogue's legal battle with Kylie Jenner

Kylie Minogue has been on the world music scene for many years, and when Kylie Jenner decided to protect the name they share because of her cosmetics brand, the singer said "I can't allow that". She won Jenner in court, and five years later, in a show, she told what everything looked like and what she thinks today about her namesake who became a billionaire thanks to cosmetics. “It was just business, obviously. You see, when I got the name Kylie, I think there was only one person older than me who had the same name. So the name was unusual” - she said, then continued: “All my life I have protected and built my brand, so that is something I had to do. But I have to say, we made a deal.”

Asked if she had to call Kris Jenner because of everything that was happening, the singer briefly admitted that she did not, but that she would like to meet the famous family.  Let us remind you that Kylie Jenner wanted to protect her name and use it for advertising in 2014. Immediately afterward, Kylie Minogue filed a lawsuit, claiming that it would lead to confusion about what "sells and advertises".  In 2016, the singer filed another lawsuit alleging that she sold perfumes, clothes, and other products that she advertised under her own name and that she owns the website "Kylie.com", which was created in August 1996, when Jenner was not even born. As she failed to use her name for advertising, Jenner named the brand "Kylie Cosmetics" and protected it. On the other hand, in 2019, Minogue also launched its make-up brand under the name "Kylie".

Kylie Jenner founded her own clothing brand and named it "Rise and Shine" in honor of the phrase that became a mime. On October 14, 2019, Kylie Jenner posted a video on YouTube where she organized a press conference in the office of her cosmetics company Kylie Cosmetics. At the end of the video, she entered the room and decided to wake up her little daughter Stormy by singing "Rise and Shine". This phrase, like the episode itself, became a mime and quickly spread on the internet. Kylie decided to take the opportunity and immediately launched hoodies in white and black. They could be bought for $ 65 at her online store.
