London Fashion Week: THE BEST 5 TRENDS
London Fashion Week: We are sure that these street style trends will soon be found on the streets of other European and World capitals!
Today is the end of another London Fashion Week for the autumn/winter 2022. As always, each of the four most famous world fashion weeks brings with it different fashion trends. We present the top 5 trends that we noticed at the one that took place from 18 to 22 February in London. We are sure that these street style trends will soon be found on the streets of other European and World capitals!
Plaid skirts
Plaid skirts are definitely a feature of the British punk movement, so we are not surprised to see them on the streets of London again this year. You can wear plaid skirts as part of the famous school girl outfit, but also with oversized, ruffled, or bomber jackets - which are also on this list of trends. The advantage of plaid skirts is that they can be the accent of your entire outfit, but they can also be a piece that complements your styling with its design and color combination. Once you fall in love with them, you will no longer be able to imagine your wardrobe without them!
Bomber jackets
Bomber jackets are also part of the British punk subculture, and this year we could see them on both men and women. Although bomber jackets can be found in all sizes, we noticed that women also opted for men's models for them - which fit in with a variety of stylings. Although we associate bomber jackets with edgy style and wearing so-called "Martiniques", this year we could see a bomber jacket stylized with more elegant garments and accessories such as tight pants and leather boots with high heels.
Leather garments
(Eco) leather garments are not new - they returned at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, thanks to the release of the sequel to the Matrix trilogy. Leather garments and overall leather stylings were popularized by model and influencer Hailey Bieber, as well as entrepreneur and reality star Kim Kardashian - in collaboration with Balenciaga brand creative director Demna Gvasalia - who was in charge of her recent outfits. Now we can notice leather stylings on the visitors of London Fashion Week, and we are sure that they will very quickly "take over" the whole of Europe and beyond.
Colored coats
As opposed to strict, shiny, and monochrome leather - at London Fashion Week we could notice a completely opposite trend, which includes elegant and cheerful coats in different, bright colors or even designs. Orange, yellow, red, pink, and other warm colors have dominated the coats seen on the streets of London in recent days - and we must admit that we were pleased to see the influence of color among the latest fashion trends.
Combination of design
And finally, the biggest party. The British are known for their fashion eccentricity and experimentation - and it is an absolutely reasonable fact that the combination of designs was once again among the street style trends of London Fashion Week. Inspired by British designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Gareth Pugh, British fashion lovers visited Fashion Week in eclectic and striking combinations of designs, which made us very happy. Fashion always needs refreshment and getting out of the classic frames, and these colorful and unusual stylings have certainly made that step.
