MacOS 12.3 has been released
Apple has published macOS Monterey, the third minor update. A 5 GB update resolves issues, adds adjustments, and includes the long-awaited big feature.
The business has enhanced the Podcasts and Shortcuts application, among other things. Notes can be added to saved passwords in the iCloud Keychain. The method for calculating the remaining battery capacity has also been explained. Macs equipped with Apple M1 chips can now utilize surround sound in the Music app when paired with AirPods headphones (3rd generation basic model, Pro, and Max).
Apple has also introduced the current Emoji 14.0 kit to the OS, which includes new emoticons such as a pregnant man.
You can control multiple Macs or iPads with a single keyboard or mouse if you have more than one. Common Control, often known as Universal Control, is an alternative to products such as Logitech Flow, Synergy, and Free Barrier.
Once the function is set on the devices, we can add their screens as additional monitors on the Mac, put their areas, and then move the pointer over the edge of one display to transfer control to another device. Everything comes together, and each device connects through LAN and a shared Apple ID.
However, in addition to macOS 12.3 and iPadOS 15.4, the capability necessitates the following hardware:
- MacBook 2016 and later
- MacBook Pro 2016 and later
- MacBook Air 2018 and later
- Mac mini 2018 and later
- iMac Retina 5K 27 "2015
- iMac 2017 and later
- iMac Pro 2017
- Mac Pro 2019 and later
- iPad Pro, all models
- iPad 6 and later
- iPad Air 3 and later
- iPad mini 5 and newer
Apple has released iOS 15.4
According to Apple, iOS 15.4 includes, among other things, the ability to unlock iPhone 12 and subsequent models with Face ID while wearing the drape.
In addition, the update includes new emoji and the option to launch SharePlay sessions directly from supported apps. There are also a number of bug fixes.
The update is fairly hefty, weighing in at 1.2 GB. As a result, it's a good idea to consider, if necessary, which Internet connection we'll use to download it.
The addition of the Universal Control capability is the key novelty of the iPadOS 15.4 platforms. It enables you to use a single mouse and keyboard to control both the iPad and the Mac.
