Mickey Rourke was one of the greatest seducers of the 1990s, but he is one of those we can’t say has aged with dignity.
The 69-year-old actor and former boxer never hid that he was going under the knife, and even admitted he went to the wrong doctor who was supposed to fix his boxing injuries, but he failed to do so. As the years went by, he was constantly fixing something on his face, and he used Botox as a daily routine.
'My nose was broken twice. I had five nose surgeries. They had to take the cartilage from my ear to restore my nose and a few more surgeries because the scar did not heal properly, ' Rourke once said.
In addition to numerous aesthetic procedures, Mickey had a hair transplant, and over time he became addicted to going under the knife.
'Mostly I've always asked for my face to be put back in place. However, I chose the wrong surgeon and got hooked ', he admitted on one occasion. In addition to his addiction to plastic surgery, he also struggled with alcohol and narcotics for a long time, but reportedly managed to fight his demons with the help of psychotherapy.
Mickey was not very lucky with love either. He divorced actress Debra Feuer in 1989 after eight years, and his marital happiness with model Carre Otis lasted from 1992 to 1998. At one time, a video of Carra and Rourke having sex against the accusations that he abused her was released. Those accusations were dismissed and the couple reconciled and even starred together in the film ‘Impossible Way Out’. According to foreign media, the actor has been in a relationship with his enchanting Russian colleague, 35-year-old Anastasia Makarenko, since 2009.
Recall, women remember with sadness his beauty in the 1986 romantic drama ‘Nine 1/2 Weeks’ which he filmed with the famous blonde Kim Basinger. In addition to acting, Mickey pursued a professional boxing career that brought him a number of injuries such as broken ribs, nose, ribs, bruised cheeks and torn tongue, and short-term memory loss.
