NEW: "Bridgerton" season 3 finally has a premiere date!
"Bridgerton" returns to Netflix next year with a new, third season!
"Bridgerton" will return to Netflix next year with a new, third season. We discovered this information yesterday. But that isn't all, because we finally have a date and time!
In the official premiere date announcement video, we learned that the third season will be divided into two parts with four episodes in each. Thus, the first four episodes will arrive on May 16, 2024, and the remaining four will arrive one month later, on June 13, 2024 .
Apart from the fact that we can see the premiere dates in the Netflix video, unfortunately, it does not bring any new details about the plot, instead, it shows us already-seen materials and posts from social networks where fans can't wait for the new adventures of their favorite characters.
What can we expect?
The new season's plot continues on the events of the second season with the romance between Penelope Featherington ( Nicola Coughlan ) and Colin Bridgerton ( Luke Newton ), which takes us a little further from Julia Quinn's books on which the series is based. Penelope will have to reconcile and deal with the rift in her friendship with Eloise Bridgerton ( Claudia Jessie ), who finds a new friend in the most unlikely place. With various entanglements, Penelope will have the hardest time hiding her alter ego Lady Whistledown.
The showrunner of the Shondaland production series this season is Jess Brownell, who took over the role after the departure of Chris Van Dusen. Other cast includes Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Lorraine Ashbourne, Hannah Dodd, Simone Ashley, Jonathan Bailey, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Jessica Madsen, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Will Tilston, Polly Walker and Julie Andrews.
Until then, you can watch the first two seasons of the "Bridgerton" series on Netflix. We cannot wait for the new ones!
