NEW: Enzo Ferrari again on the screen!

Car lovers, the new "Ferrari" biopic starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz is waiting for you, and it will certainly be a real refreshment. The story of fast cars, family dramas, and the beauty of northern Italy was directed by Michael Mann, whose obsession with the Ferrari family has been going on for 20 years, as long as he built the idea for the film. The script was made in collaboration with Troy Kennedy Martin and based on Brock Yates Enzo Ferrari - Man and Machine.

Oscar nominee Penelope Cruz plays the role of Laura Ferrari, the wife of Enzo Ferrari, with whom he founded a luxury car brand. Adam Driver plays Enzo. Shailene Woodley will also appear in the film, playing Enzo's lover Lina Lardy.

What is the movie "Ferrari" about?

"Ferrari" takes place in the summer of 1957 and follows a turbulent period in the life of the Ferrari family - a crisis in their marriage, the death of their only son Dean, and facing bankruptcy. In this crucial period of their lives, Enzo and their team of drivers decide to participate in the historic Mille Miglia race, which takes them 1,000 miles through Italy.

According to the trailer, the film also touches on the personal tragedy of Enzo Ferrari, which happened in 1956 when his son Dino died. In the trailer for the movie "Ferrari", there is also the moment when Enzo is told that he must win the legendary race through Italy, the Mille Miglia, to save the company, and then the relentless race with Maserati in 1957 and the accidents that marked the Mille Miglia. The tragic crash led to the country banning open road racing in Italy.

This is not the first time that these two actors play the roles of legendary figures of Italy, considering that Penelope has already transformed into Donatella Versace in the series "The Assassination of Gianni Versace", Adam played Maurizio Gucci in the movie "House of Gucci".
After premiering at the Venice Film Festival in August and hitting theaters in December, Michael Mann‘s “Ferrari” is available from Jan. 23, and on Blu-ray/DVD will be on March 12.
