New sequels to 'Sex and the City'

HBO's content director, Casey Bloys, said in an interview that the second season of 'And Just like that' is likely to be filmed, adding that actress Sarah Jessica Parker and director Michael Patrick King are already talking about the direction they want to continue the story.

She also mentioned actress Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the original 'Sex and the City'. 'I don't think she'll come back. They solved it well in the series and I don't expect to talk about it ', she said, and a few days after the series 'And just like that' commented the writer Candace Bushnell.

The author of ‘Sex and the City’, who based the main character Carrie Bradshaw on herself, honestly said she could no longer identify with her.

'I am unpleasantly surprised by the many decisions made in the new series. HBO gave the franchise to Sarah Jessica Parker and Michael Patrick King for a variety of reasons and they came up with this. It's not me anymore. Carrie ended up as a silly woman who married a very rich guy. It’s not mine or the story of some of my friends. But, here, television has its own logic ', she stated without much hesitation.

Criticism of the new sequels of the cult series is not lacking. And while some criticize worse-than-expected fashion, others feel the characters are ‘stupid’. Also, a lot of criticism was given to the appearance of the main actresses, but quite unjustifiably, because women are naturally old.

'Something like this never happens when it comes to men. I’m sitting with Andy Cohen who has his head covered in gray hair and he’s great. Why is that okay with him? I don't know what to tell people, 'said the actress. 'I almost have a feeling that people don't want us to be happy with ourselves. It’s like they enjoy being hurt by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally or do something that helps us feel better. I know what I look like. I have no choice. What can I do? Should I stop getting old? Should I disappear? ', the main protagonist Sarah Jessica Parker concluded angrily earlier.

And whether the new sequels will fix the bad impression remains to be seen.
