The premiere of Pedro Almodovar 's film 'Parallel Mothers' at the opening of the 78th Venice Film Festival gathered many world stars. While Georgina Rodriguez  (27), Penelope Cruz  (47), and Adriana Lima (40) attracted attention with sexy releases, Brazilian director and actress Barbara Paz (46) sent an important message with her unusual fashion choice.

Namely, Paz appeared on the red carpet in a black Gucci suit and white shirt, with a bow tie, a hat, and a gas mask. The mask was attached to a backpack on Barbara's back that contained a green plant.

The director later explained that the installation symbolizes the importance of the Amazon rainforest.

- The Amazon rainforest is the lungs of the world and humanity has the right to breathe. After thinking about it, my friends Luciana and Adriana Toledo, Sorelle Toledo, creative directors and stylists decided to make a creation that will draw attention to the destruction of indigenous countries - said Barbara.

- Attention! We all carry a little Amazon in us - she added. Her creation, called ‘Respiro’, is signed by the duo Sorelle Toledo.

The Venice Film Festival includes 10 unpublished films in its program, including Barbara Paz's new feature film, 'Ato'. The director won the Best Documentary category at the same festival two years ago with her film ‘Babenco: Tell Me When I Die’. The documentary deals with the life of one of the most famous South American directors, Hector Babenc, who died of cancer.
