What can we expect?

It is about Ave DuVernay's new project. She is an award-winning producer and screenwriter who was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary. The movie " 13th" is reputed to be her most ambitious and successful film.

"Origin" is a screen adaptation of Isabel Wilkerson's bestseller  "Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents" which brings a new perspective on racism in which the author prefers to talk about caste rather than race and it is based on real events in American history. The cast is led by the brilliant Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor (nominated for an Oscar in the family drama King Richard), as writer Isabel Wilkerson and the rest of the crew are Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash-Betts Emily Yancy, Finn Wittrock, Victoria Pedretti, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Isha Carlos Blaaker, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Connie Nielsen, Blair Underwood, Nick Offerman, Stephanie March and Myles Frost.

"Origin" had several special screenings at major festivals such as the Venice Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Virginia Film Festival. Ava DuVernay also directed great titles like "A Wrinkle in Time" and "Selma", and for Netflix, in 2019 she made a successful mini-series "When They See Us".

The drama "Origin"  arrives in selected cinemas on 19. January 2024. This movie is a great opportunity to change our minds about certain things and we are sure you will like it.
