The new era of the "Doctor Who" series is presented with a new trailer!

The first official announcement for the latest season of "Doctor Who" has arrived. Although it is the fourteenth season of the modern version of the series, the producers decided to start a new era with the new Doctor, and the upcoming season was announced as the first.

Ncuti Gatwa took up the sonic screwdriver as the Fifteenth Doctor and he continues to travel through time and space in his latest form. After facing a group of unpredictable goblins in the holiday special, the Time Lord will do everything in his power to save humanity from all dangers.

Like every Doctor so far, the Fifteenth Doctor will have company on his travels. In the holiday special, the new Doctor met Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), and she became his first companion in the new Tardis.
The Fifteenth Doctor was introduced after his predecessor (David Tennant) lost his battle with the Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris). The terrifying villain hit the Doctor with a laser, but instead of just regenerating into a new version, Tennant's Doctor split in two in the first split regeneration in series history. Tennant's Doctor decided to stay with Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and her family while Gatwin's Doctor took off into space for new adventures.

This time, the BBC is producing together with Disney, which will broadcast the episodes on its Disney+ platform. We hope simultaneously all over the world, but that is not yet known. Jonathan Groff will join Gatwa and Gibson in the cast of the new season, which should hit the small screen in May 2024.

Recall that soon it will be 60 years since the first episode aired, and "Doctor Who" is still popular thanks to the Doctor's unique way of self-regenerating. The Doctor has gone through regenerations and each of his new personas has its ways of behaving and abilities but retains the memories and experiences of previous Doctors.
