"The rich have bigger problems than the poor": Akon enraged the public
Singer Akon said last month that most rich people live behind the 'facade of success' and said he knew from experience that life is harder to be rich than poor
Popular American singer Akon (48) after the death of actor Michael K. Williams, upset many with his statement about the lives of the rich.
Williams is best known for his role as Omar in the hit series ‘The Wire’ (The Wire), and he was friends with Akon throughout his life. The actor reportedly died as a result of a drug overdose.
On the occasion of this tragic event, Amar commented that Williams is just another in a series of successful people hiding behind the 'facade of success', TMZ reports.
"Famous and rich people go through more problems than poor people. More money, more problems," he said.

He recently reiterated that he does not intend to back down from his stance, although he knows that he has enraged people with such a statement. He claims to speak from his own experience and that he was happier before he got rich.
In a similar vein, he added this description to one of his Instagram posts:
"A fool dreams of wealth. A wise man dreams of happiness!"
