The series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" has excellent ratings on streaming platforms!

The first episode of the series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" attracted 13.3 million viewers in the first six days on streaming services Disney+ and Hulu. This number put the series in the top five premieres of this year on both streaming platforms, although Disney did not specify which of the remaining four series it was about.

During the year, new series or seasons of strong titles such as the 3rd season of "The Mandalorian", the 2nd season of "Loki", "Ashoka", "Secret Invasion", the 2nd season of "The Bear", the 3rd season of "Only Murders in the Building", and the reboot of "Futurama" arrived on these two streaming channels.13.3 million viewers is really impressive because it should be taken into account that it is a series of books intended for school children, while "Ashoka" and "Loki", for example, are aimed to an older audience. We must admit one more time that Percy Jackson attracted quite many viewers. If the good viewership continues, we can expect Disney to turn those novels into a big franchise for the small screen - as they planned.

Speaking of viewership, Disney only measured the viewership of the first episode even though two episodes more were released at once on December 19 – at least on Disney+ streaming. Only the first episode is on Hulu, and it will stay that way (for now) as the rest will be available on Disney+.

The series "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" was prepared for Disney by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg. In this series, the main stars are Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri. The plot follows 12-year-old Percy (Scobell), who one day discovers that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon, and starts training at a special camp for demigods. But soon he finds himself in trouble when the Greek god Zeus accuses him of stealing his lightning. For the most part, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" executive producer Jonathan Steinberg says that the team behind the new Disney Plus show wanted to keep the story the same as it is in the books.
