Kingpin challenges Maya in a new teaser for the "Echo" series!

The upcoming "Echo" series from the Marvel Studio brings new elements to the Marvel film world, and we expect sharper and more realistic stories and characters. As the countdown to the final premiere begins, fans of the series can't wait to see what's coming, and the newly released short teaser reveals a couple of new shots.

The new teaser highlights the Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), wearing an eyepatch over the scar Maya gave him at the end of the "Hawkeye" series. We see him confronting Maya saying, "You and me – we're the same. So who's the monster."

Maya Lopez aka Echo was first introduced in the "Hawkeye" series. She is against Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) thinking that he is responsible for the death of her father, who ran the mafia. However, she soon realizes that her uncle Kingpin did it and turns against him. "Echo" will continue the story and we see Maya in her natural environment as she prepares to confront the Kingpin. The series focuses on Maya confronting her past, reconnecting with her Native American roots, and embracing her family and community.

The main stars in the series are Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez / Echo and Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene. At the same time, Zahn McClarnon returns as Maya's father William, D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock /Daredevil.

Recall, that "Echo" is a spin-off of the Hawkeye series, and in the focus is Maya Lopez ( Alaqua Cox ) aka Echo. As a former head of a criminal organization, she returns to her hometown in Oklahoma to 'come to terms' with her past and reconnect with her roots. According to Marvel, Maya must "reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.".

One of the directors, Sydney Freeland, announced that we can expect a dark and more realistic series of violence. The other director is Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai). Executive producers include Freeland, Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Richie Palmer, Jason Gavin, and Marion Dayre.
