Based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Miller and screenplay by John Orloff, the miniseries "Masters of the Air" follows soldiers who carry out dangerous bombing raids on Nazi Germany and struggle with the cold conditions, lack of oxygen and the sheer terror of combat that is fought at 25,000 feet in the air. Some were shot down and captured and some were wounded or killed. But, some were lucky enough to return home. Here, the focus is on the 100th Bombardment Group of the US Army's Eighth Air Force, "Bloody Hundred" also known for the exceptional bravery and devotion of its members during the air battles over Europe. The action of the series includes air missions during the Second World War, especially the bombing of Nazi Germany. The Eighth Air Force carried out attacks on strategic targets, such as industrial complexes and military units.
In the trailer, we can notice the actor Austin Butler in the role of Major Gale Cleven as he and the rest of the members of the team fly into the sky in one of the biggest conflicts in history.
As previously mentioned, the "Masters of the Air" series is led by Austin Butler who already has several upcoming films, including Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Part II" and Jeff Nichols' "The Bikeriders". The series also stars Barry Keoghan, David Shields, Anthony Boyle, Ben Radcliffe, Rafferty Law, Edward Ashley, Elliot Warren, Nate Mann and Darragh Cowley.
