Tips for amazing homemade pizza
These are the most common mistakes you make when you are making pizza at home. Here's how to avoid them!
We all like to eat a piece of delicious homemade pizza, the one we made with our own hands from start to finish, topped with our favorite toppings and eagerly awaited to come out of the oven. Proud of what we did, we often do not notice our mistakes in the whole process, which, when we correct them, could lead to just the perfect example of homemade pizza. Here are some mistakes that we make when pizza preparation is in the process.
Order is important!
The first and one of the most important tips is about the order in which you connect the ingredients for the dough and that makes a significant difference. First, flour and yeast are combined. Then water is slowly added, the dough is mixed, and only at the end comes the salt. Never add salt and yeast together. Salt kills yeast.
Do not speed up the dough rising process
In case you are making a pizza that you want to enjoy as soon as possible, let the dough rise at room temperature. Be patient and wait for the dough to rest, and then to rise. The dough is best to leave for about 24 hours, depending on the amount of yeast you use, to achieve a better dough texture.
Flour matters!
If you use plain flour when you make pizza, the dough will soak it up and you’ll get a completely different texture. In that case, the dough will lose its elasticity and the best is to use cornflour when you shape the dough, before adding the filling, which then gives the dough an even better taste.
Well preheated oven and baking tray
Whether you bake pizza in a classic tin or have a pizza stone, it is important to reheat them well before putting the pizza in the oven. Preheat the oven in the baking tray for 45 to 50 minutes before baking the pizza. It takes a high temperature for the dough to rise. In case the temperature is too low, you will not get the breathable dough that is always desirable. Apply these tips and you will see results.
