World of Warcraft's next expansion - April 19

It's been a little more than a year since the release of Shadowlands, the most recent (so far) expansion for World of Warcraft. And, despite the fact that 2021 has not been a good year for Activision Blizzard, the business couldn't stop working on its next expansion, especially after the alterations presented in Shadowlands, which have left a large portion of the community wondering what will happen with levels.

Although we still don't know anything about it, the theme of the expansion, or even what its name will be, we do know, according to a tweet on its official account, that we now have a date to find out which one it is. It will be the next World of Warcraft expansion, which will be released on April 19, a little more than a month from now. It is crucial to note that there is mention of disclosing the expansion, but not of when it will be released.

Based on the time between the announcement of Shadowlands at BlizzCon 2019 in November 2019 and its arrival to players in November 2020, the first recommendation for World of Warcraft players is to take it calmly, because it can happen enough Blizzard has decided to postpone the announcement until the waters have calmed down a bit after last year's huge reputation crisis.

In that situation, the forthcoming World of Warcraft expansion may not be delayed for as long. And this makes even more sense when we consider that the business, which is currently being acquired by Microsoft, appears to have decided to accelerate its launch schedule in order to once again create headlines with its games rather than its problems.

When we look at the tweet, we can clearly see that the corporation has raised a number of activities linked to World of Warcraft. First and foremost, on March 15, the business will release an expansion for Heartstone, the famous WoW-inspired card game. The World of Warcraft Arena World Championship begins three days later, on March 18, bringing the Shadowlands season to an end.

And, outside of World of Warcraft (at least in theory), but within the Warcraft universe, the tweet anticipates the announcement of a mobile title based on this universe, which the business already mentioned in a results presentation a month ago, and which we now know will see the light next May.
