22 years have passed since the cult film "Magnolia" starring stars with turbulent lives, the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman shocked the world

The drama "Magnolia" is one of the cult films of the '90s, and world-famous actors appeared in it.

At the center of the plot are several characters in search of love, forgiveness, and meaning, and their lives intertwine in San Fernando County, Los Angeles.

One of the main characters is played by Tom Cruise (59), who hasn't really changed physically over the years of his career but he only looks better. The film highlights his longer hair, which we don't have a chance to see now.

Cruise has an interesting private life behind him because he got divorced three times. His marriages with colleagues Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes, with whom he had a daughter Suri, broke up, and the Church of Scientology is often cited as the reason.

And Julianne Moore (60) looks better and is often on the lists of the most beautiful actresses as if it hasn't been 22 years since the release of the movie "Magnolia". Her private life is fairly quiet and since 2003 she has been married to director Bart Freundlich (51) and they have a son and a daughter, and behind her is a divorce from colleague John Gould Rubin.

One of the main characters was embodied by  Philip Seymour Hoffman whose death on February 2, 2014, at the age of 47 shocked the world. The coroner's official report said he died of an accidental overdose. Hoffman was found dead in the apartment on Feb. 2 with a needle in his hand, and about 50 bags of heroin were found in the apartment. After a toxicological examination, Hoffman was found to have died after mixing heroin, cocaine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepines. He is survived by his partner, costume designer Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children.

Actor William H. Macy, 71, has also not changed much since the filming of "Magnolia," and is also known as the star of the comedy series "Shameless." Since 1997, he has been married to colleague Felicity Huffman, 58, who got famous for the role in "Housewives," with whom he has two daughters. His wife has been in the spotlight in recent years as a court fined her 250 hours of community service in September 2019 after it was proven she paid $ 15,000 to improve her daughter’s test scores to make it easier to admit her to college.

William was married to film producer Carla Santos Shamberg for five years before Felicity.

Among the cast of the film appears Patton Oswalt (52) who is known for the series "King of Queens". He suffered the painful loss of his wife Michelle McNamara. The writer was working on her first book “I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer” when she passed away while sleeping on April 21, 2016, from an accidental drug overdose. Contributing to this was the fact that she had heart problems and died a few days after her 46th birthday. By the way, the couple got married on September 24, 2005, and in 2009 they had a daughter, Alice.
