A new trailer for action thriller "Monkey Man" is out!

Oscar-nominated actor Dev Patel is making his directorial debut with the action-packed revenge story “Monkey Man". Jordan Peele produces the movie through his Monkeypaw Productions, and the film got its first trailer Friday morning.

The synopsis says: “After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.”

Oscar-nominated Dev Patel delighted the Internet with this trailer. In addition to directing and working on the screenplay, Patel also plays the lead role in an action thriller. This movie is about the quest for revenge against the corrupt powerful who killed his mother and continued to mistreat and victimize the poor.

The original story was inspired by the legend of Hanuman, one of the Hindu gods who is depicted as a man with a monkey's head and he is a symbol of strength and courage. Patel is the Kid, an anonymous young man who lives a miserable life in an underground fight club. He wears a gorilla mask night after night and is regularly beaten by popular fighters who earn a lot of money that way. After years and years of repressed anger, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the city's sinister elite, and in parallel, his childhood traumas intensify. Due to a combination of circumstances, an act of great revenge begins against the men who took everything from him.

Paul Angunawela and John Collee worked with Patel on the script, and the other roles include various internationally known names like Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, Sikandar Kher and Makarand Deshpande. Oscar winner Jordan Peele is among the producers.
We expect "Monkey Man" in cinemas from April 5th.
