Zac Efron and his epic lie in "Ricky Stanicky" trailer!
The trailer for the movie "Ricky Stanicky" tells the story of the best man in history - only he doesn't exist
Amazon and MGM Studios have released the first trailer for "Ricky Stanicky", the latest R-rated comedy from legendary comedy director Peter Farrelly who is behind hilarious titles such as "Dumb and Dumber" and "Everybody's Crazy for Mary".
What can we expect?
The main roles in the film are played by John Cena, Zac Efron, Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino, and William H. Macy, and the story revolves around a lie from a youth that went too far over the years and got three friends into trouble. When they were younger, three friends Dean, JT, and Wes (Efron, Santino, and Fowler) found themselves in trouble. In order to avoid problems, they invented the character of Ricky Stanicky, on whom they shifted the blame. Twenty years later, the trio still uses the Ricky character whenever they need any excuse. Things were going smoothly until their female partners began to have doubts about this enigmatic Ricky and decided it was time to get to know him. Instead of admitting their long-standing lie, the friends decided on a radical move. They decide to bring the character of a non-existent friend to their better halves, so they hire "Rock Hard" actor Rod (Cena) to take on the role of Ricky. At first, it seems that everything will go smoothly until Rod takes the task a little too seriously and becomes the real Ricky. As Rod’s unpredictable personality causes more chaos, the friends try to get rid of him — but he’s attached to his newfound identity. “My job sucked, I had no friends. But now I have all those things,” Rod says.
The film has been in preparation for 14 years. James Franco was originally supposed to be the main character, so the role went to Jim Carrey, and finally, a couple of years ago it was decided that Cena would be Ricky. We will find out how Cena succeeded in that role on March 7, when the film "Ricky Stanicky" arrives on Prime Video.
