A short teaser trailer for the "The Court Jester" movie is out!

The story of the life of fitness guru Richard Simmons is coming to the movie screen, and he will be portrayed by comedian Pauly Shore. The short film "The Court Jester" will deal with only one event from Simmons' life, and it will serve as a kind of prelude to the feature film that is also planned.

In a recent interview with foreign media, Shore talked about how did movie became and how fans mentioned the resemblance between Shore and Simmons. Shore even posted workout videos on his YouTube channel called "Sweatin' with the Wiez", a variation on Simmons' popular "Sweatin' to the Oldies" videos.

The script for the film "The Court Jester" was written by Jake Lewis, who also holds the director's baton. The film was named after a 2012 Men's Health interview with Simmons in which he described himself as a court madman: "When a king is depressed he doesn't call his wife or his cook. He turns to the little man in the funny hat and says to the court madman to amuse him. And I'm that court fool."

The short film will deal with Simmons' preparation for his appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and his relationship with the production assistant behind the camera.
Richard Simmons was the owner and manager of a successful Hollywood workout club and he welcomed media attention for the success of his club and his own energetic and eccentric personality. He gained further fame with his video exercises and he often appeared on the small screen. He was last seen in 2014, after which he completely withdrew from public life.
This unique combination of genres allows the film to appeal to a wide audience, making it a true crowd-pleaser. The complicated sets, costumes, and props transport viewers into an imaginary world that feels authentic and immersive.
