Alec Baldwin is haunted by tragedy
Alec said that he will never be able to shoot roles with weapons again and that he does not care at all if he will not act again after the fatal event in New Mexico that shocked the film world on October 21.
Someone put a real bullet in the gun, a bullet that shouldn’t have been on the set. Someone is responsible for what happened. I can’t say who it is, but I know it’s not me, said actor Alec Baldwin, 63, as a guest on ABC television. In an interview, he pleaded not guilty to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film ‘Rust’.
He added that he is ready to do whatever it takes to make the murders on the set never happen again. He said he did not feel guilty about what happened.
- No. I don't. Maybe I would kill myself if I felt responsible and I don’t say it lightly. I keep dreaming about it now. I go through it every day and relive it, then I crash at the end of the day. Emotionally, I'm collapsing
He says he can't imagine having to shoot a role with a weapon.
- I care more about my career - said the actor, aware that this will mark him, and he believes that due to this tragic event, this could be the end.
In case you forgot, the incident happened a couple of months ago on the set of the western movie "Rust". Namely, the bullet in the prop gun turned out to be real, and during the shooting scene, Alec fired a gun and wounded the director and the camerawoman Halyna Hutchins. The director survived, while Halyna succumbed to her wounds and passed away on the way to the hospital. She was married and had one son.
