Amazon will join the space Internet race

Following in the footsteps of Elon Musk, it appears that Bezos' business will eventually join the strange race of the space Internet. And it is for this reason that Amazon has now announced that it has planned more than 80 launches of its Arianespace, Blue Origin, and United Launch Alliance (ULA) rockets to begin deploying satellites into Earth orbit that will service a relatively low-cost Internet connection.

Although it is a long-term plan, these launches will take place over a five-year period, with the goal of installing up to 3,236 satellites to create the Kuiper Project's "constellation" in what the corporation has already stated is the greatest commercial buy of launch vehicles in history.

"Project Kuiper will offer fast, inexpensive internet to tens of millions of customers in underserved and underserved regions around the world," said Dave Limp, Senior Vice President of Amazon Devices & Services.

We still have a lot of work to do, but the team has been hitting milestone after milestone in all parts of our satellite system. These launch agreements represent our amazing dedication to and belief in Project Kuiper, and we are happy to work with such an impressive range of partners to carry out our mission."

And it is Amazon's goal to provide a high-speed broadband network for all types of users, including households, schools, hospitals, businesses, governments, disaster relief operations, mobile carriers, and anyone living in places with limited or no Internet access.

While pricing has not been disclosed, the business claims that their receivers will be reasonable, so while costs will remain high in comparison to terrestrial networks, you can expect a lower price than Starlink's service.

It is envisaged that these launch acquisitions will assist the space sector in refining its procedures in order to minimize the cost of launching satellites, clearing the way for the future expansion of this sort of service, as well as job creation in the United States and Europe.
