As a child, Demi Moore dealt with her mother who was addicted to pills
The famous actress shared her tragic life story a few years ago: as a child, she had to save her mother from opiates, at the age of 15 she was raped, and in her 40s she had a miscarriage.
American actress Demi Moore (58) is currently on vacation and enjoying everything life has to offer. Although she achieved world fame and now lives comfortably, this has not always been the case, as she spoke about in her book ‘Inside Out’, which she published in 2019.
The actress grew up in a troubled family that moved frequently until they came to Southern California. In the book, she talked about the incident she had with her mother - when she overdosed and Demi 'pulled' the pills out of her throat with her hands.
- The next thing I remember is that I used my fingers, the little fingers that children have, to take pills out of my mother's mouth, which she tried to swallow, while my dad kept them open and told me what to do. Something then shifted in me and never came back into place. My childhood was over then - said Demi, who later found out that Danny Guynes is not her biological father. Still, given the drama she went through with her mother, she quickly got over that information.
As if all that wasn’t enough, Demi was raped at 15 years old. That period in her life was incredibly difficult, so she didn't write much about it in the book either. A year later, she left her family and began living with musician Freddy Moore, 71, and in 1980 she married him. The marriage lasted five years, and as early as 1987 she married Bruce Willis (66), with whom she had three daughters: Rumer (33), Tallulah (30), and Scout (27).
She broke up with Willis in 2000 because, as she pointed out, he was jealous of her career, but he was also angry because she worked a lot. Three years later, she met the star of the series 'Crazy Seventies', Ashton Kutcher (43), who was 16 years younger than her. They married in 2005, but a few months before the wedding Demi became pregnant and had a miscarriage shortly after. She was six months pregnant and that broke her.
She found solace in alcohol and pills, Ashton allegedly cheated on her, so they broke up in 2011 because of all this. Demi then had a seizure due to cannabis smoking, so she turned to a rehabilitation clinic for help.
