AT THE AGE OF 6, CONNIE TALBOT ENCHANTED EVERYONE WITH HER SINGING: See what this cutie looks like 14 years later
Connie Talbot has been a musical marvel since she was a child and appeared on the show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ at the age of seven.
Connie Talbot, 20, gained fame in 2007 as a six-year-old girl on the show ‘ Britain’s Got Talent for which she signed up just for fun.
The jury expected her performance to be more of a joke because she never went to singing lessons, but as soon as she let go of her voice, she caused excitement. Her self-confidence grew as she enchanted all the judges on the show and even the demanding music mogul Simon Cowell .
He described Connie’s singing as pure magic and told her she would earn more than a million pounds in a year. In the semifinals, she delighted with a live performance of the song ‘Ben’ by Michael Jackson, and in the final, she excelled with ‘Over the Rainbow’ from ‘The Wizard of Oz’. But with the votes of the spectators, she was defeated by the opera singer Paul Potts, who got a record contract after the show.

Connie’s mother Sharon revealed that she was told her daughter was too young. ‘When the time is right, I’ll be glad to see her release his album,’ Simon said.
Connie signed a six-figure deal with Rainbow and released the album in November 2007. It quickly sold 50,000 copies and she had to make another 12,000 copies.
