Avril Lavigne About Her Love Life

Avril Lavigne has discussed her romantic life and how it has inspired her songs.

During an interview with Kelly Clarkson on her program this week, the popular singer said that she had gone to the studio feeling bad about her love life, only to emerge in a relationship.

"Your new album is called Love Sux," Kelly added, "which, well… sometimes it does," to which Avril responded, "I heard, oddly enough, that you met your new lover while creating it."

"For a long time, I've been satiated about love. You should do it throughout recording sessions, stating your location and setting the tone for the album.

"I got a boyfriend after that! I'm never without a partner."

Many followers were eager to remark after seeing the video on Instagram. "This is very hilarious and sarcastic," one person said, while another added, "Queen!

Avril Lavigne has spoken out about her relationship with Kelly Clarkson.

Mod Sun, with whom Avril was formally associated in 2021, is her current boyfriend. In a recent interview with People, the singer talked of meeting Mod (actual name: Derek Smith) for the first time.
She stated that the duo started dating "immediately" after flames sparked during their songwriting session. "I simply went with my gut," she explained.

"I was coming out of a major relationship, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I should be alone," the Bite Me singer explained.

"I collaborated with [Mod Sun] on a song. We had an instant connection. 'Should you be doing this?' I wondered. It was exhilarating and entertaining, so I decided to [expletive] it. 'Life is too brief.' My zodiac sign is Libra. I adore the word "love."
Love Sux is Avril's eighth full-length album and her first since 2019's Head Above Water, which she released precisely three years ago. It was launched on February 25th, and she recently spoke with Nylon about it.

"There was a point in music when the label declared, 'Radio no longer wants to hear guitars.'" The usage of live drums was discontinued. No live electric guitars were being performed. There's always that delicate line between saying, I'm going to do the music that I'm experiencing, and you have a corporation behind you that impacts what you're doing."
