Beauty product as a gift? Here's how to choose the right one
The holiday season is approaching and we are slowly catching the gift fever. Cosmetics very can be an ideal present, but choosing the right product is a real challenge, even for the people we know well.
No matter how much you love someone, chances are you don’t know if they might not tolerate some ingredient in the fragrance or if in their skin routine they already use some active ingredient that does not go well with the product you are planning to buy. So, how much time you spend with someone is not crucial for the success of beauty gifts, it is crucial to listen, watch and, sometimes, have intuition.
For starters, don’t be afraid to go over the things you know this person likes. Many people cannot get enough of their favorite fragrance. The same goes for some other products, and if you are contemplating some "smaller" things, you have two options: the first is to buy a few and make a precious stock for someone you love. Another option is to buy a few different products that the person likes. Here, the price itself does not play any role, but your knowledge of the person you are buying for. Everyone will fall for the fact that you remember which lip balm they carry in their bag.

The next thing is to listen. Very often people will tell you what they want. They will mention that they tried something and liked it, but they didn't really buy it. They will mention a limited collection or a product that is harder to come by because it is a bestseller. For example, someone who loves red lipsticks will be excited to try some from the limited holiday series. The same goes for cosmetic services and treatments, if someone constantly mentions that their skin is dehydrated, book them a luxurious treatment for deep hydration, give them the experience together with the result. However, be careful in one thing: when "solving other people's problems" on your own initiative, do not accidentally solve their "problems" that bother them too much and/or did not mention them yourself or YOU consider them a problem. It's just tacky.

If these are people whose beauty taste you do not know best, the best thing is body care products or candles. Make a package of neutral but more luxurious body products - butter and cream, oils and baths - seasonal aromas usually go well, just like the classic bestseller collections of brands. Avoid ingredients that have "too much character" to put it that way, or characteristic odors, or the possibility of irritation (such as strong essential oils).
Happy gift shopping, both to yourself and others!
