'Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco and her husband Karl Cook split up after three-year marriage

The couple gave a written statement to Page Six reading: "Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions. We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary."

“We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further.” Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook added. The reason for the joint statement was their wish to tell the real truth about their split-up.

Kaley Cuoco, the 35-year-old actress best known for her huge role in the popular ‘The Big Bang Theory’ series, started dating 30-year-old rider Karl Cook in 2016, and they got engaged the following year.

They got married on June 30, 2018, on a horse farm near San Diego, California.

Cuoco had previously been married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, but although the marriage that began in 2013 was officially annulled in 2016, the break-up came after just 21 months.

"I honestly thought I wouldn't get married again. My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault — that was his." Cuoco said of her first marriage, adding that it had taught her some things in life.

"I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive. I knew I just had to be patient … I had to go through a lot of things, but it brought me to Karl", said Cuoco at the time, but this time, unfortunately, it didn't work out either.
