Blizzard: Date for the Warcraft mobile game

As Activision Blizzard said a few months ago, it appears that the Warcraft franchise will have its first game adapted for smartphones and tablets for the first time in its nearly 30-year history. Blizzard, on the other hand, has astonished us again by announcing its official presentation date, with a wait so brief that it will only take us to next week.

And is that the first Warcraft mobile game will be presented on May 3, 2022, via an online presentation with free access through the official Blizzard website, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the peninsula), with an undefined duration and contents to be shown.

At the time, Blizzard's main communication centered on a few facts about how the game was created from the bottom up to be compatible with mobile devices.

Something that advances us because it will not merely be a port or adaptation of one of the franchise's existing games, but a brand new title set inside the universe. Despite the fact that the corporation is being extremely tight-lipped about what we may expect from the upcoming Warcraft mobile game.

Nonetheless, the most likely hypotheses are a game based on a standalone story in the style of the successful Warcraft 3; a World of Warcraft-focused spinoff with a completely different style of gameplay adapted for mobile; or a total reinvention of the franchise with some previously untested new IP.

And there are already people who are joking about the prospect of a Fortnite-style battle royale game.

As a result, while this is the first mobile installment of Warcraft, it is not Blizzard's first foray into mobile terrain, with the adaption of its Hearthstone card title and the recently announced Diablo Immortal.

After years of anticipation, we now have a release date for Diablo Immortal, and it won’t be too long, as it will arrive on June 2, a month from now. It will, as expected, be a free-to-play game with a store where we can buy enhancements and cosmetic items. While the mobile interface will be touchscreen, the PC Diablo Immortal can also be played with a keyboard and mouse.
