Brad Pitt spoke about his worst film

Brad Pitt (58) has a rich acting career behind him. Many of the films he has made are praised. Those are 'The Bet of the Century', 'Twelve Monkeys', 'The Ruthless Bastards' and 'The Game of Winners'. He has now revealed which film he considers to be the worst project of his career.

Given the experience and success he has achieved so far, Pitt is today absolutely free to choose his own projects and to use his creative freedom to accomplish them. At the beginning of his career, however, the situation was different. So it happened to him that he was forced to star in the film 'Troy', an adaptation of Homer’s Iliad, which he considers his worst project.

The film was directed by Wolfgang Petersen, 81, and Pitt played Achilles, the legendary invincible warrior. Critics greeted the film with considerable restraint. At the time, Pitt could not express his opinion due to contractual obligations but he later revealed that he regretted making the film. He did it because the studio forced him to do so after he gave up on another project.

'It wasn't painful, but I realized that the way the film is told is not the way I wanted it to be. I made my own mistakes in that. What am I trying to say about Troy? I couldn’t get out of the middle of the frame. It was driving me crazy, ' Pitt revealed in an interview with the New York Times.

'I got spoiled by working with David Fincher. This is not an understatement for Wolfgang Petersen. 'Das Boot' is one of the best movies of all time. But somewhere along the way, Troy became a commercial thing. Each shot was like, 'Here's a hero!' There was no mystery, ' Pitt added.

Recall, in collaboration with David Fincher (59), Pitt made some of the more successful films, such as 'Fight Club', 'Seven', 'The Curious Story of Benjamin Button and Being John Malkovich'.
