British police thriller series "Vigil" has a new tense trailer!
Rose Leslie and Suranne Jones are back!
After a long delay, fans of the thriller series "Vigil" will finally be able to enjoy the second season. Peacock recently announced that the premiere date for all new episodes of the second season has been set, and on this occasion, we got the opportunity to see the first trailer for the second season.
Recall, that Season 1 of "Vigil" is set on board a nuclear submarine. When a crew member is found dead on board the Trident HMS Vigil, police in Scotland are called in to investigate. The catch? The UK’s nuclear deterrent must remain unbroken, so the submarine stays on patrol and Detective Chief Inspector Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) must go aboard to begin an investigation. Although the death was written off as an accidental overdose, Amy suspects foul play. But when the crew closes ranks in the face of Amy’s questioning, a new threat overshadows her inquiry.
In the new season of "Vigil", Inspector Amy Silva ( Suranne Jones ) and Detective Kirsten Longacre ( Rose Leslie ) are tasked with conducting an internal investigation following a series of deaths that occurred inside a Scottish military facility.
The trailer makes it clear that similar to the first season, "Vigil" will mix ethics, technology, and beautiful landscapes. You can feel the tensions rising as we get a preview of the episodes, and it looks like it can only get worse as Amy and Kirsten begin to close in on the higher echelons of the Scottish Air Force to determine who is responsible. The "Vigil" cast also includes Gary Lewis, as well as newcomers Dougray Scott, Romola Garai, Amir El-Masry, David Elliot, Oscar Salem, Chris Jenks, Jonathan Ajayi, Steven Elder, Khalid Laith Nicoel, and Alastair Mackenzie. The "Vigil" series was created by Tom Edge.
The Peacock premieres all six episodes of the second season of "Vigil" on February 15 .
