Eiza González joins Guy Ritchie’s "Fountain Of Youth"

Apple by Skydance, Vinson Films and Project X Entertainment are making great progress on their co-production of the feature film "Fountain of Youth". The cast now has four names. Along with Natalie Portman (Thor: Love and Thunder), John Krasinski (A Quiet Place) and Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Eiza González (Three Body Problem) has joined the team.

The film was created from an original idea by Guy Ritchie (The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Aladdin), who is also the film's director, while the script is written by James Vanderbilt (Scream 2022, Zodiac) and produced by Ritchie, Vanderbilt, Ivan Atkinson, and Jake Myers. There are also Tripp Vinson for Vinson Films, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger for Skydance, and William Sherak and Paul Neinstein for Project X Entertainment. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella are executive producers for Radio Silence.

What can we expect from this movie?

The plot follows a brother and sister (Krasinski and Portman) who team up on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow the clues in an epic adventure that will change their lives—and possibly lead to immortality. Although the characters in the film seek potential immortality, the essence of the legend is that the Spring is intended to restore youth, not to grant immortality.

"The Fountain of Youth " movie was a high priority for Skydance after Vanderbilt delivered the script, which sources said "wowed the execs," but the studio needed the right talent package before moving forward with the film. Ritchie, who was quite busy, had been circling the project since the spring, around the same time as Krasinski, but the strikes took their toll and the project, like many others.
