In the photos obtained by Page Six, Sam was spotted shopping at the Cartier jewelry store in Beverly Hills, where he was allegedly looking for a diamond ring.

Meanwhile, a source said to E! News: "Engagements have always been important to Sam and Britney, no question. It's the direction their relationship has been going in for almost two years. It's not a question of whether, but when.

- Things are obviously getting better for Britney with her custody case and she has never felt more liberated in all aspects of her life. The closer she gets to freedom, the closer she gets to having all her dreams come true, the source explained, adding: Marrying Sam is high on her list and loving him the way she wants, on her own terms. Sam also understands how close they are to getting out of trouble and this definitely motivates him to think about the future.

The source added that Britney, 38, and her boyfriend "feel so happy and fulfilled in their work and in the relationship. They just elevate each other and bring out the best in each other."

While testifying in court in the middle of a conservatorship battle, Britney said: I want to be able to get married and have a child.

The pop star claimed it was “impossible” to do so due to restrictions allegedly set as part of her custody case, which she described as “offensive”.

Britney was placed under conservatorship after suffering an alleged nervous breakdown in 2008. Conservatorship is granted to those who are unable to make decisions, such as people with mental disabilities.

The deal put Britney's real estate, financial assets, and some personal property under the control of her father Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallet - who has since resigned from the role.

The conservatorship of the pop star has been under review since 2019 after she accused her father of forcing her to enter a mental health facility.

In November last year, the singer tried to remove her father as a guardian, but her request was denied.

Instead, the judge appointed the Bessemer Trust wealth management company as the trustee of her estate, along with her father. However, the Bessemer Trust has since retired from that role.

Last month, Britney’s father Jamie reportedly agreed to step down as her guardian.

But last week, the singer’s lawyer Matthew Rosengart requested Jamie’s immediate suspension and accused him of trying to extort money from his daughter.

Jamie is reportedly asking for about $ 2 million in payments for his legal team and former Tri Star business manager.

The next hearing in Britney's custody battle is scheduled for Sept. 29, Goss writes.
