Charlie Sheen's daughter Sami on fighting depression: "Living with my mom was hell, I was trapped in an abusive home"
Sami Sheen, the daughter of the acting couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, surprised everyone with a post on TikTok in which she talks about how her life with her mother and stepfather was hell on Earth. Due to family issues, she became depressed.
The 17-year-old said that life with Denise Richards (50) and stepfather Aaron Phypers (48) was so difficult that she did not eat or sleep for days, and the whole bad situation in the house led to Sami becoming "insanely depressed".
The teenager from Southern California added in another clip that now(it is believed that she lives with her father Charlie Sheen), as she left her mom's home and high school, she has felt "self-love" and has had a "spiritual awakening".
Her followers commented on how Sam looks tired and emotionally broken in the video.
"One year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, was insanely depressed, hated school, etc..." she wrote over the TikTok video.
In the video, she further explains how she experienced a spiritual awakening, that she is single and has two cats, but also that she is finally happy and satisfied with her life.
Charlie, 56, commented on the situation through his Page Six representative:
"Sam’s amazing. I love her and all my children unconditionally. We’re having a ball. GED here we come!"
GED stands for general educational development, a test that students take as an alternative to American high school.
On the other hand, a source close to Denise said that Sam's eviction was not her fault, but the choice of an angry teenager.
"Denise set normal rules that any parent would be setting. She's a mom and a parent and there are rules. She didn't want to follow the rules. Charlie didn't support implementing Denise's rules. He has a different way of parenting and Sami decided to live with her dad. Denise loves her daughter very much and she's saddened by the situation," the source said.
Denise claims that she has always been satisfied and proud of Sami, that she often said that she is her firstborn and that she is beautiful on the inside, and so compassionate on the outside.
Sami has since taken done the viral video because she thought that TikTok "wasn't a safe space anymore".
