Charlie Watts remained faithful to her till death: This is the wife of the famous musician whom he loved for 57 years!

Charlie Watts (80), the drummer of the legendary rock band "The Rolling Stones", passed away in the hospital in London on Tuesday. His family asked for privacy during this sad period.

Watts left behind his devoted wife Shirley Ann Shepard, with whom he had been married for 57 years, from 1964. He remained faithful to her forever, and four years after the wedding, they had their only daughter, Serafina (53).

He claimed that the key to their successful marriage was that he was never a "typical rock star" and that they always kept their privacy.

Unlike other members of the band, he claimed that he did not sleep with his fans during on tours. Namely, his colleagues themselves pointed out that they were intimate with a lot of women, and they would always say that he had only one love.

Charlie met his wife when they were just a couple of students before he became a member of the Stones. They were both artists - Watts studied graphic design, and Shirley was in the sculpture department. The musician often pointed out that he was sorry that he did not spend enough time with his family.

Apparently, Charlie didn't cheat on his wife even when the band visited Hugh Hefner's villa - instead of Playboy bunnies, he was more interested in the game room.

However, their marriage and family were almost destroyed in the mid-1980s, when Watts first turned to drugs and alcohol because of "family problems".

Charlie managed to overcome his addiction with the help of his wife and said that "drugs and alcohol were never his style".

The couple settled in Devon, and in 1996 they had a granddaughter, Charlotte, 25. They had a horse farm together, and in 2020 they adopted a five-year-old dog, Suzie, who was rescued from a dog race. The photo of that day is one of their last photos together.
