Cheap and healthy: Homemade zucchini pate

Zucchini is everyone's favorite summer vegetable because it can be prepared in countless ways, and the best thing about them is that they are cheap and that in most cases they are prepared quickly. Zucchini pate is just such a recipe, and your family will surely adore it. It is best when it is spread on hot bread, and if you want, you can also add meat or ham for a complete meal.


  • 3 medium zucchini
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 bunch of primrose
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt, pepper


  1. Grate and salt the washed and cleaned zucchini, then leave them to stand for a few minutes, and then drain them. 
  2. Finely chop the black and garlic and parsley. 
  3. Fry both onions in oil, then add the zucchini and simmer at a moderate temperature, stirring, until the excess liquid evaporates. 
  4. Add sour cream, then pour lemon juice and spices to taste. 
  5. Transfer everything to a blender or blend with a stick mixer. 
  6. Leave the spread to cool, and if you have it any left over after a meal, store it in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
