Chopard's new campaign with Julia Roberts
Chopard continues to write the history of the "Happy Diamonds" collection, choosing a woman of original style as the protagonist of the campaign.
Marilyn Monroe may have claimed that "diamonds are a woman's best friend", but Caroline Scheufele, co-founder of Chopard since 1963, claims that "diamonds are happier when they are free".
This is the philosophy behind the Chopard collection called "Happy Diamonds", which consists of jewelry and watches, decorated with precious stones and aims to beautify and make every look special.
The "Happy Diamonds" collection debuted in 1976, while in 1993, Caroline Scheufele, Chopard's artistic director and co-president, decided to enrich the collection with accessories that every woman can wear in everyday life. One of the protagonists of the collection was a watch that brought a step into the history of the Chopard house, after the series "Happy Sport" was published, which was created as a symbol of women's empowerment and finesse.
Today, Chopard continues to write the history of the "Happy Diamonds" collection, choosing a woman of original style and beauty as the protagonist of the campaign. In particular, Julia Roberts is the face of the campaign and her choice is not at all random. The positive aura, her bright smile, and her "joie de vivre" inspired the creators of Chopard.
Chopard's love for the seventh art is well known. Thus, in addition to the participation of Julia Roberts, the house also collaborated with Canadian director, screenwriter, and actor, Xavier Dolan, who undertook to make a video campaign for the "Happy Diamonds" collection.
In the video, Julia Roberts wears a simple and timeless outfit, i.e. a white shirt and jeans, but also her bright smile. She looks into the lens, smiles, dances carefree and of course, jewelry and watches from the "Happy Diamonds" collection make the result fresher, more modern, and chic.
Xavier Dolan is a young Canadian filmmaker, actor, and designer. He started his career as a kid in small commercials. He first received international acclaim in 2009 for his feature film directorial debut, “I Killed My Mother”.
