Clint Eastwood leaving the film world? ‘Aging gracefully is a talent. It's too late for me '

Legendary Hollywood actor, film director, composer, and producer  Clint Eastwood (91) seems to have said goodbye to his long and rich film career in a post on his Twitter profile.

- I think that aging gracefully is a very important talent. It's too late for me - it says in the quote above his photos in which those from the very beginning until today are lined up.

- Time flies - he added in the description of the announcement which, by all accounts, announced the end of filmmaking.

Fans of the actor immediately left numerous comments in which they addressed the actor with respect and wrote to him that they will be forever grateful for everything he has done in his career.

- If I could only spend a year in your skin, I would die much happier tomorrow than I am now. You are truly one of the best and your job will always be legendary - his follower wrote in the comments below the post on Twitter.

He left an indelible mark

Although Clint Eastwood’s directorial work on recent films such as ‘Letters from Iwo Jima’ and ‘Flags of Our Fathers’ has received rave reviews from critics, he is best known to the public for his roles as the antihero. These are primarily the roles of Sergio Leone’s westerns in the ’60s and‘ ruthless men ’, such as Inspector  Harry Callahan in the film ‘Dirty Harry’ during the’ 70s and ’80s.

He won as many as four Oscars in his unforgettable career. Twice for Best Picture and Two for Best Director for the films ‘ Million Dollar Baby ’ and ‘ Unforgiven ’. The legendary Eastwood is one of three living directors to have directed two Oscar-winning films.

Some of his most famous films that are still shown on the small screens of film lovers today are: ' The Outlaw Josey Wales', 'Dirty Harry', 'For a Few Dollars More', 'A Fistful of Dollars' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly '.

The youth of a legend

Namely, Eastwood acquired the nickname 'serial womanizer' at an early age. He was adorned with two qualities that women always fall for - self-confidence and mystery. By doing the hardest physical work and being 6 ft 3 he also gained a flawless athletic figure. This lumberjack and steelworker, as well as a canal digger, was endowed by nature with - to use a dictionary of love novels - metallic blue eyes, so he had everything that stimulates a woman's imagination.

But in his youth, he did not have much luck with women. He fell madly in love with a red-haired teenager in high school, but then short Clint was not intense enough for her.

He did not develop his seductive abilities even in his early youth. After the military, he intended to enroll in a business course at City College in Los Angeles. A friend,  Don Horner, was dating a girl from the University of California, Berkeley, so he arranged for Clint to have a blind date with his friend. It was  Maggie Johnson, a tall blonde who won him over with her sense of humor.

That evening it never occurred to him to marry her, but five months later they were at the registrar's office. He studied, she worked in the office of some trading company and they lived in a one-bedroom apartment in downtown LA. One evening he returned home beside himself with happiness.

He got fired and became a star

He was noticed by the director of Universal and invited to a test shoot. Two weeks later, 23-year-old Clint signed a $ 75-a-week fee contract to star in films whose titles and plot speak louder than film reviews. The first was the horror ‘ Revenge of the Monster ’ and the second ‘ Francis in the Navy ’ - a saga about a talking horse. After 18 months, he was fired.

Wife Maggie believed in his talent and persuaded a friend to connect him with producers at CBS. Already at the entrance to the studio, he was jumped by the producer of the TV series ' Hound's Whip '. He was given the role of a dream - a hunter and groomer of cattle who repeats the same sentence: 'Come on, come on, chase those cattle!'. And that went on for 217 episodes. The series was a huge success, and Clint became a star.

Even then, he began to test his seductive skills on the set with many women, and Maggie patiently endured it all.

- Maggie's not holding me back. I don't want anyone to own me, to store me - Clint explained his loyalty to his wife, who remained his faithful advisor in choosing roles and scripts for many years.

Not even two women were enough for him

They waited 15 years for their first child, and when asked why, Clint simply replied, 'That's how a family is planned!'.

Namely, they did not want to have a child until they had the money for a nanny. It happened in 1968 when they bought a house in the small town of Carmel. Their son Kyle was born. It wasn’t until thirty years later that the public learned that Eastwood had first become a father much earlier.

On the set of 'Hound's Whip', he seduced 28-year-old brunette  Roxanne Tunis, a statistician, and stuntwoman. She became pregnant and in 1964 gave birth to a daughter,  Kimber. The couple agreed not to make a scandal out of the adventure. Clint promised them lifetime support, paid for their daughter’s schooling, and when Roxanne Tunis and Kimber moved to Denver to LA in 1974, he helped them buy a house.

Maggie knew about this extramarital affair, and Roxanne and Maggie even met in 1972 on the set of his film ‘Breezy’, but the women politely talked and exchanged maternal experiences. But two was not enough. At least when it comes to Clint.

That year he also met Sondra Locke, while Maggie was expecting their second child - daughter Alison. Tiny, blonde  Sondra had auditioned for Clinton’s film ‘Outlaw Josey Wales'. He chose her with great difficulty among 2,000 candidates. Since then, they have become inseparable. They also made the next six films together. Locke has become his faithful companion since 1977 when they already lived as a married couple even though everyone was married. Maggie still stood firmly by Clint, and Sondra was in a long-term marriage to  Gordon Anderson.

Maggie left Clint after 26 years of marriage

That 1979, Maggie lost her temper. After 26 years of marriage, they began living separately. How did Clint react? He was shocked! He moved out of the estate in Carmel and rented a house in Hollywood.

In a television interview, he finally admitted to being with Locke. Five years later, Maggie also officially filed for divorce because she found a new great and true love. Henry Wynberg was a used car dealer who became famous for being in a relationship with Elizabeth Taylor for a while when she divorced Richard Burton for the umpteenth time.

Apart from Taylor, Wynberg was also known from the Black Chronicle. He is accused of enjoying sex with four minors to whom he supplied drugs in return for which he spent a hundred days in prison. But Maggie was convinced he was the man for her. So in 1984, she filed for divorce, and Clint gentlemanly paid her $ 25 million and left the family home with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

He became the richest movie star

A long-term relationship with Sondra Locke got into a rut. Eastwood, meanwhile, became mayor of Carmel, and Locke lived in a house in Los Angeles. When his term expired, he wholeheartedly supported the candidacy of his rival  Jean Grace  - a single mother of three children. Many also knew why, but it all remained on speculation about their love affair.

New films and new women were waiting for the actor, but also the biggest scandal in his career. In the late 80's he became the richest movie star in the world, and in show business, he solidified his name alongside one Orson Walles and Alfred Hitchcock. In 1988, he made the film ' Circle of Death ', edited ' Bird ', and prepared ' Pink Cadillac '.

The relationship with Sondra Locke became increasingly unstable, and he, now 58, became close with 33-year-old  Barbara Minty, Steve McQueen's ex-wife. Still, Sondra and Clint spent that Christmas at a cottage in the Sun Valley. It wasn't romantic at all.

Clint told her he wanted to live with his son Kyle and suggested she stay at his luxury home in Bel Aire, LA. A heated argument began on the verge of a physical confrontation. She accused him of cheating on her with various women and he accused her of still being with her lawful husband Gordon Anderson. Back in 1982, Eastwood bought a house on Crescent Heights Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills that Gordon used and that Sondra occasionally stopped by.

They paid rent to Eastwood together, and since 1977, Clint and Sondra have lived together in a Los Angeles suburb, posh Sherman Oaks where he once lived with his wife. Sondra was not happy with that house, so her lover bought another one - on Bel Air, where he now wanted to place her forever.

He left Sondra by letter

As they had not agreed on Christmas, they stopped living together, and then on April 3, 1989, Clint called her and arranged a meeting. After 13 years together, he only told her to move out of the house because it was his only property in this city. Sondra ignored his warning. A week later, the postman brought a letter entitled - Sondra Anderson to the set of her second directorial work 'Impulse'. It was written that all things including her pet, the parrot Putty, were waiting for her somewhere in the warehouse and that the locks in the house had been changed. She fainted.

Two weeks later, she filed a lawsuit seeking $ 70 million from Clint and ownership of the two houses. But what worried Eastwood the most was her long tongue. She announced all the details of their life together, even that he had physically abused her and ordered her to undergo sterilization, and that she had been pregnant twice during the relationship, but had to have an abortion because of him.

At the same time, Clint's daughter  Alison scandalized the public in those days. In her sensitive teenage years, she started going out and getting drunk, so she ended up in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol. Her father, on the other hand, found a new love - the divorcee  Dani Janssen, the widow of his old friend. But it was also a passing adventure.

He left Fisher to marry Ruiz

He entered into a somewhat more serious relationship with  Francis Fisher  - the red-haired counterpart of Sondra Lock. They met at the movie set of ‘Pink Cadillac’. They started appearing in public only in 1991 when the end of the court mess with Locke was looming. He settled with her for about six million dollars and left her a house in Bel Aire and an estate in Crescent Heights, Hollywood. There, she was recovering from breast cancer surgery that she had been diagnosed with a year earlier.

With Francis Fisher, he had another daughter - Francesca, who was born in 1993, the same year he gave a three-hour interview to the enchanting journalist Dina Ruiz. Two years later, he broke off his relationship with Francis Fisher, and in 1996 he married Ruiz. But another shock followed.

It was revealed that he also cheated on Sondra Locke. For the last three years of their relationship, he fell in love with flight attendant  Jacelyn Reeves,  whom he met at the 1985 premiere of ‘The Pale Rider’. It all ended with a familiar scenario - the couple first had a son,  Scott Reeves, in  1986, and then a daughter,  Kathryn Reeves, in  1988.

A great gentleman

They did not enter their father's name in the birth certificate, so Eastwood successfully kept them secret until 1999.  Dina Ruiz constantly dealt with all these facts. Her love for her 34-year-older husband was not disturbed by anything. They got married at a private party at his friend’s, and their best man was Clinton’s eldest son Kyle. That same year, Clint became a father for the seventh time. His daughter Morgan Eastwood was born.

Dina told the media a few years ago about what Clint was like as a husband and how their family lived:

- He is a great gentleman and always puts a board on the shell behind him, but every morning he leaves the banana peel on the kitchen counter instead of throwing it in the trash, so it literally drives me crazy.

According to her, although money is not an important item of life for them, the Eastwoods did not live the life of typical Hollywood stars:

- We live in Central America and lead a totally average life. People must think that faces like Clint have a private driver, and we don’t even have a cook in the house or even someone to clean up the feces of our birds.

Along with all these women, he is also credited with having adventures with actresses Catherine Deneuve, Jill Banner, Jamie Rose, Inger Stevens, Jo Ann Harris, Jean Seberg, screenwriter Megan Rose, but also swimmer Anita Lhoest.

If there is an afterlife then Eastwood is the reincarnation of Casanova. The only woman he was forever faithful to was his mother  Margaret Ruth. She died in 2006, at the age of 96, and despite all her commitments and rich love life, Clint talked to her on the phone every night for at least half an hour.
