Cold showers are useful: here's why
When you start to deepen your breathing, carbon dioxide is reduced throughout your body, which helps you focus
If you are struggling with stressful thoughts, consider taking a cold shower, experts advise. A cold shower is used as a holistic approach to reducing anxiety and depression.
Showering with cold water for five to 10 minutes is also considered beneficial for mental health. Studies have shown that cold showers can increase the level of endorphins, the hormone of feeling good in your own body and reduce the level of cortisol, a hormone that causes stress.
In addition, a cold shower can help relieve the muscle pain you may feel after a strenuous workout.

When it comes to the daily routine, cold water stimulates the brain to increase focus and energy levels. The shock of cold water stimulates you to breathe deeper. When you start to deepen your breathing, carbon dioxide decreases throughout your body, which helps you focus better. A cold shower also stores natural oils on the skin while hot water removes natural oils from the skin and thus dries it.
If you consider switching from hot to cold showers, it is advised that you do it gradually over the course of several days or weeks. To start, you can try showering with warm instead of hot water, then slowly decrease the temperature until you are able to use only cold water.
